TopsCNC
Description
At the time I designed this machine, no existing open-source design truly matched what I was looking for. The available solutions often used components that were too specific, hard to find, or poorly suited for an accessible DIY approach.
I therefore decided to design my own CNC, starting from a simpler and more standardized base. The goal was to use as many common and readily available components as possible, such as V-Slot aluminum extrusions, T8 trapezoidal screws, Nema 17 motors, and electronics based on Arduino and GRBL.
This approach not only makes the construction and maintenance of the machine easier but also makes the project more accessible, modular, and scalable for anyone wishing to build or modify their own CNC.
