New Z Axis 🇬🇧

Hi Topsie,

I am printing parts and understand you are developing a new Z Axis.

I want to wait for this but do you think the Y Axis Interior Top Left and Right will change as I am ready to print them?

I should have said that I am printing for Nema23

Sorry but i dont know for now, I think they can change yes but i'm not sure

Andme, there is no real need for the z-axis to be Nema23 as Topsie previously said, you might as well keep that axis as Nema17 as there is plenty of enough torque for that much lighter axis.

I am planning to keep the Z-axis as Nema17 but would like more travel, especially if I use the larger Z-Axis cart for more stability and would like larger rods.   Increasing the travel will of course also put more strain on the rods.

I can see how to modify the mesh files to take larger rods and bearings but haven't worked out how to extend the travel because of the clamping arrangement used to tension the wheels.

IcOinld probably sort something out but it is harder when starting with the stl files and dealing with holes and Topsie will probably come up with something better.

I can attach my Sldprt files as well as STEP and STL if interested. The downside is the design is for a 220V Watercooled Spindle not the router.

It uses 10mm Rods with Bearing blocks just just round LM10UU in each corner of the spindle mounting plate.

Actually has increased depth to only be roughly 30mm from the mounting base of the legs.
