Modified TopsCNC from Germany 🇬🇧

26 Oct 2020 09:18

Hallo

i think an improvement would be, to make the design work with only one type of screws

100% assembled with one type of screw and screwdriver

@seb76

So far I have not noticed any disadvantages, only advantages. But you are welcome to use normal stepper motors. That is up to everyone how he wants. All parts fit also so.

@ervin

I have all the screws Allen cylinder screws. No other. All the same size and length unfortunately does not work.

Test1

I have made some tests with the ball screw. I am satisfied, very high accuracy.

Excellent Kamil, beautiful job really. I am still waiting for my ball screws to make your modifications. With the spring festival in China, all orders are currently delayed... I need to stay patient till mid February at least.

You can print everything so long and order the ball bearings. I have adjusted the Y-axis mount at the end. So measure and only then press. So that no play arises. And if you don't want to use flange bearings, you have to adjust that too. Otherwise the distance is 4mm too short.

Thank you for the advice, I was already anticipating indeed. I am waiting for the ball screws before printing the parts, to confirm the measurements. Because my CNC is bigger than yours.

I have no choice but to wait for delivery in order to move forward, and it is the worse time of the year to pass an order in China unfortunately ;-(

You also need M10 fine thread 1.0 Screw nut per spindle.

These are my flange bearings
