Hi all,
Been a while and I hope everyone is doing well!
I’ve been working on my water distribution plate and I’m close to the end. There was A LOT of trial and error, redesigns and used materials, but I think I’m on my last lap now! For some background info on my TopsieCNC and past projects, go here.
In the meantime, I modified my spoil board and replaced all my M4 holes with 5mm dowel pin holes as I was having some issues with alignment on double sided milling jobs. It worked! (Fiou!)
I also switched to an air nozzle setup as the dust boot wasn’t creating enough chip evacuation for acrylic. It’s messy but produces better finishes on the acrylic.
Some progress pictures…
The final product
LED side brackets and light installed + leak testing. It’s been running for 24 hours so I think it’s good.
I’m likely
going to modify the main water chamber to make it bigger, but I think it’ll be
complete after that. It’s been a long ride and there’s an enormous amount of
variables to consider in designing and milling, but it was worth it for the
learning experience alone!
Cheers,
JR
Very nice and cool job Jean Robert !!! Well Done
Thank you Sir! 🤘
Yeah i agree very nice and clean job !
It's a long journey to learn 3D designing, CNC machining, including different material, bits, cutting speed etc... You understand it right i think !
well done again
Thanks buddy, I appreciate it! This journey is going to last a lifetime. There's no end to all you can learn. I'll post some pictures once the reservoir is installed in the PC. 😁
Updated Distro, now with larger main reservoir. I think I'm done prototyping this one. Now I just need to finally get my 3080 with waterblock to install everything in one sitting! Might take till January with the way things are going with Nvidia!
Belle maitrise
Merci! 😌🤚
Jean-Robert Michel, what a fantastic job!!
Congratulations!! 👏
