Source for cheap V-Slot profiles and other parts..? 🇬🇧

Hi,

Motedis B-type profiles are very cheap. Still I don't have high-quality router bits (softer wood rather then aluminium) and I wonder if I will spend double because I order the B-type profiles and fail routing them into V-Slot profiles.

Is there a source for V-Slot profiles (delivery to Germany) with comparable prices to Motedis? Is there a cheaper source for Motors and Arduino/CNC shield? Where do you buy your T8 screws?

Everything else I already bought ;)

P.S.: is the HEAVY version now the only version being developed forward? Had the "Light" version some flaws (what is its maximum recommended size) or stability problems? It would be nice to have a good "Light" version, so you could start smaller with the option to upgrade to the HEAVY and reuse most of the parts, except the profiles.

Hi all,

just to let people who would be interested know that today my order on AliExpress arrived fine after a wait of not even 20 days. I am planning to build the Heavy Nema23 version, and because I was not convinced that T8 lead screws would be adequate for a CNC with dimensions 1500mmx1500mm I wanted to upscale the X en Y threads to T12 (pitch 2mm, lead 8mm).

I found the following shop on AliExpress and ordered the T12 lead screws and the matching nuts. They arrived today well packaged and they look fine. Still in the process of printing and waiting for the stepper-motors to arrive.

@shoe: You can go with GRobotronics, they are good sellers. The V-Slots are very well packaged, with 3 plastic layers, and carboard outside.

I've shipped from they many things, the V-Slots, T8 leads, and many small components (timing belt, precision shaft, power supply, shaft coupler,...), their price are correct. I've pay 330€ with shipping to France, for 1500 X and Y size and in black color. Photos are on my topic. ;)
