Hello everyone. I built a 1500mm x 1500mm Heavy. It works VERY well and I would first like to say thanks to Topsie and the community. The first cuts had no issues with chatter...cutting mainly 3/4" MDF. But recently on both 3/4" birch plywood and now 3/4" oak, I get a lot of chatter on the x-axis. Could this be due to the length of my Y axis not having enough rigidity? I've slowed my speed down to a crawl and it's still there.
Still trying to eliminate chatter. I've adjusted the anti-backlash nuts and that helped a little. I'm wondering if anyone has used C-Rail extrusions on the Y axis (similar to how the X is built)? On a larger machine there's a lot of deflection in the y-axis with just 2 x 2040 extrusions on each side.
