So when mounting the router to the mount for the first time, I over tightened the nuts and cracked one of the sides of the rear mount. So with this occurring I new I would eventually have to make a new mount. I followed the original plan and it had 6 screws, 12 washers, and 6 nuts holding the router on. I am looking ahead of other uses of the machine and may want to add a laser later, so to do this on a half circle mount would more then likely not happen. So I remixed the rear mount to make the mounting ears thicker and added an insert for 4mm nuts to be put in. This will allow quicker removal of the router front cover and allow other items to be mounted as you are now using 6 less washers and the 4mm screws go in from the front with no nuts to hold.

Nice modification !
I will print one i think
Hi @Larey, and thank you for all the mods you are creating! I will for sure use this!
I'm also looking to make a quick tool removal, and compatible with others tools.
I suggest using a cross or a square, or any other fixed shape (instead of a cylinder, which can rotate) in the back of the rear holder.
3 or 4 millimeters deep. It will allow us to deploy other mods to laser engraving, or other tools, without the need of reprinting the back mount.
@Topsie & @Larey, what are your thoughts about this?
@DavidC I have made a holder to use for pen plotting with a simple front mount with a groove for a pen and zip ties to hold it. I have been interested in a laser for awhile but will have to wait until I arrive in Tokyo as we are moving from USA to Japan in August. Depending on shape of laser it would be possible. I drew a rectangle off the front mount and made it solid, you can use all the screw holes as well. It would be capable of drag knife, pen plotter, or laser as it just moves the Z forward depending on the offset of the tool holder.
