Hello everyone! First, special thanks to Topsie for all the hard work and excellent information. I'm so excited to be building my first CNC machine. I believe I have all the (purchased) parts required. 2040 v-slot extrusions, lead screws, rods, Makita RT701C (North American version, the RT700C is 220v), NEMA 17 motors, Arduino, CNC shield, DRV8825 drivers, nuts/bolts, etc. I'm now well underway printing the rest of the parts. All my X and Y lead screws are 1500mm as well as all the extrusion lengths. This is going to be a monster! I will most certainly be upgrading to the NEMA23 version, But I'll take what I can get with the smaller steppers for now. This is just an introduction, I'm sure I will have many questions once I start assembling and testing. I look forward to contributing as much as I can. Everything I learn will be freely given back to the community. In the meantime, wish me luck! I'll probably need it.
