I like your design and I want to maybe start constructing it.
no where in your site you state in which material the 3d printed parts should be printed.

On the thingiverse page you said PLA.

My question is how much material did you use for this? and is it ok to do it with PETG or not?

You need between 5 and 6 kg of PLA.

The range of material your can use is wide......as wide as your capacity to use print it. One rules for me is to use high quality and well known filament brand. For PLA my choice is 3D870 type. Petg can be use but is a little more elastic. ABS if can print it is a good choice too. Than you specifical filaments with carbon or aramide added in. you will need 5-6Kg depend how many issues or no you will have.
