Hi all,
A week from now will mark exactly a year since I started building and upgrading my TopsieCnC! This has been a blessing as this past year has been very challenging for obvious reasons, and this project has really helped me stay sane during this pandemic! I cannot thank Topsie enough for creating this very approachable design! This has also been a huge learning experience as I didn't know anything about CnC or CAD when I started.
First off:

- Link to PC water block prototyping post
In later news, I have:
- Designed a taller Router holder.
- Added a better mist cooling system.
- Finished my last water block prototype and installed it in my PC.
Here’s a slideshow timeline😊
...and finally...
What an adventure!
The nema 23 upgrade has really opened possibilities and I’m very happy with it. However, I’m still seeing some deflection in the milling bit once in a while, especially on 2d adaptive clearings (ex: 8mm deep cut in acrylic with stepover higher than 1-2mm). I think it has something to do with the fact that the gantry runs on plastic wheels, which allows it to bend laterrally. I’m looking into switching to a linear rail system for the X axis as my Y axis is very strong with 2 motors. I know there are some conversations on the forum about this and people working on something like that, but I've been concentrating on finishing my project. It's time to get back into some research!
Realy nice work....with attention on détails....
Yes great job !!!
Thanks guys! :-)
Good job! Nice work on your distro plate !
Marc, I'm following your linear rail upgrade very closely. 😁👍
