Confusion about T8 axis lead..? 🇬🇧

Hi,

Fantastic Project Topsie! My compliments!

I wonder what the T8 lead is for the V1 and the HEAVY? Where do I find this information.

In this video for the V1 it is said:

X-Axis: 120cm T8 Lead Screw (2mm lead)

Y-Axis: 100cm T8 Lead Screw (8mm lead) x2

Z-Axis: ???

So you have different leads (2mm and 8mm)?   Why?

What lead does the Z-Axis have?

Same lead for V1 and HEAVY?

Merci,

Lafaello :)

Thanks! Please drop some links where you bought the T8 lead screws. I think you mentioned an Aliexpress shop?

@lafaello I bought my leaadscrews here 3x t8x8 1000mm t12x8 1000mm and 1 t8x8x300 with t8 and t12 nuts and backlashnuts for 95 Euro

@lafaello: If you are not in a hurry, I bought in a European shop 3 x T8 lead screws (8mm lead) 1540mm + 1 T8 300mm and the 4 T8 nuts for approximately 100€ (+ shipping).

I should receive them by the end of the week, or beginning of the next week.

I will share my opinion of the site and shipment, and you can make your order with more confidence. ;)

@Robert2703 t12 nuts? Did you buy T12 lead screws?

@DavidC I'll wait ;)

@DavidC FYI: if you look closely Topsie has anti-backlash nuts but he hasn't installed the springs. Maybe he has a reason for not installing the springs and effectively turning an anti-backlash nut into a normal nut? Too much friction/resistance and accuracy is sufficient with normal nut, perhaps?

@Lafaello I bought 3x T8x8x1000 including nuts and 3x T12x8x1000 including T12 brass nuts. T8 to start as original plan and later T12 (when I have learnt 360 Fusion to make mods)
