I apologize if this has already been answered somewhere. I'm not a French speaker, so it's hard to read a lot of the threads, unfortunately.
I am in the process of assembling a TopsHeavy, probably with the bigger motors as I already have them. I have most of the parts printed. I plan to use the machine for various things, but it would be convenient if it did two things:
1. Accept a full 4'/48" (1220mm) wide sheet of plywood, so I can use sheet goods.
2. Be wide enough to cut an entire pinball playfield at once. (Which are slightly smaller, at around 45" long.)
So, I guess my questions is, can I use 1500mm on one axis without there being excessive bending in the extrusions or slop in the screws? Is there a preferred axis for the extra length? It would fit better in my garage if it were 1000mm deep and 1500mm wide.
Any thoughts or links to machines this big would be appreciated. Thank you!!
I think 1500mm is not "impossible" if you only cut wood, some guys on this forum tryed some size up to 2000mm and it seem work well !
