Hello from Denmark
Just wanted to thank you Topsie, for your hard work :)
Completed the Heavy CNC - Now playing with g-code
Since you value the operation of the machine, I have been told that for dimensions of 1200x700 mm the NEMA 17 motors may be small, but watching the Topsie videos on YouTube does not give me that feeling at all.
How big is the machine you have built? And what level of difficulty would you put 1-10 in your construction?
Hi
I started by buying normal 2040 alu profiles, and planned to do the v-slot myself. The bit I had, did not end up giving nice results, so I ended up buying the profiles again as v-slot
Besides that, not many problems, a couple of the prints where at bit tight, so i needed to print them again,in 101% scale (i printed in PETG)
The size of the profiles are 1000mm x 900mm - it seems like the nema23 are fine, but I have some nema23's so i am considering upgrading
Difficulty 4-10 (but i have some exp in 3d prints)

I'm glad to hear that the build
difficulty score is around 5/10. My experience with CNCs is nil, but I have
assembled a couple of 3D printers and have really enjoyed doing it. The
dimensions of your machine are very similar to those that I want to choose,
therefore I hope that there is not much complexity than the assembly and tuning
of the machine.
I will print the pieces in PLA, I
have already bought some materials, and I have to buy more quantity of filament
so as not to run out of filament in the printing process.
I hope you enjoy your machine
very much!
