Hello and thank you for sharing this project!.

Here is some pictures from my TopsCNC running Marlin 2.0.X on SKR 1.3 with TMC 2130 (for now 2209 later) with sensorless homing enabled.

I don't have install the router yet i thing the motors/stepper drivers will not handle the job but we will see.

For now i have a 5W laser on my TopsCNC.

Also i want to mention that i have use belts instead of T8s and still testing the software/hardware.

What do you think about the skr 1.3 for the CNC ?

SKR 1.3 is a great board and have been proven to be the perfect upgrade for 3D printers also is cheap.

What i like the most is the ability to replace the stepper drivers (it will be nice to have TMC2209 or even better TMC5160) according to your needs and make use of all this new features that come with the new steppers e.g. sensorless homing.

And almost everything is done from the firmware i can just change from 16 to 32 microsteps by just upload the firmware the same for the current (this can be done from the LCD to) but this is possible with any 32 bit based controller i just prefer SKR.

As i mention i don't have use it as CNC but as laser but i don't think it will make any difference the rest is up to Marlin and i like it more than GRBL.

Worth to mention that i just order a T8 Pitch 2mm Lead 8mm to replace the X axis this is the most problematic with the belts because when you try to tighten the belt the motor mount bends toward the belt maybe with some improvements on the motor mount this will be solved but i just order a lead screw to avoid making new parts.

Printing done. Waiting for screws and nuts . Ordered 3x leadscrew tr8x8 and 3xtr12x8 for x and y (to experiment).

What kind of motor I need for the z-ax nema 17 or nema23?
