Topsie, thank you for all of your work and for sharing your amazing design. I'm well under way with parts ariving daily.

My build will be 1000x1500. This past weekend I finished my workbench/ base. Have been printing around the clock. The parts I have left to print are the X-axis upper interior and exterior, dragchains and drag chain supports.

Here are a few pics.

Wow Peter, nice work! Can you make a topic in 3D Design section of the forum to share your "More Height Front Lower with Dust Collector Holder" file, to be easier to find for everyone?

I'm loving the finish you've made to the chair, what have you done to achieve this result ?

@Topsie, can you provide this file in the packages of both TopsCNC Heavy versions, along the original? If some people dont need the dust collector, they use the original file, if they need dust collector, they use Peter's file, what do you think? :)

@DavidC, its now posted in 3d design, as for the finish, after cutting the profiles with the CNC, I sanded all the surfaces with 220 to remove any hairs and smooth the surface in preparation for the stain. I then stained the seating surfaces with Varithane Worn Navy. Next I routered the upper edges with a 1/8 roundover  and the under sides with a larger 5/8 roundover. After all of the routing was completed, I sanded any chatter marks out of the routered edges with 220. I passed a damp rag over all of the parts so that the hairs would raise. I waited for the water to completely evaporate. Then I sanded all the pieces one more time with 400 grit paper to give everything a buttery soft finish. Removed all of the dust, and then proceeded with 4 coats of water based satin polyurethane. In between each coat of poly I gently sanded the surfaces with 400 grit. The final coat of poly I buffed with 00 ga brass wool.

Hi Peter,

I am looking more and more in ESP32grbl direction. What soft are you using to drive Esp32? CNCjs? How does XYZ 0 probing fonction?

I am finishing up my esp32 setup as well. So far it seems that when you are connected in wifi,  you use esp3d (page pops up automatically when you connect to it). When you are in USB, CNCjs works very well.

Once my setup is all done and working, I will create a dedicated topic on the subject to help beginners like me figuring things out. All I can say so far is that it's not that bad once members from the forum answered thousand of questions.

However, I'm interested in the XYZ probing macro too

Thanks Turlutte for explanations....i amlooking forwad and will take maximum attention to a dedicated  topic on ESP32 environnement

Hi guys, sorry for the delay. I am also using cncjs, it works perfectly. The probing is easy to set up, and functions very well. I'm just getting started using the macros but it definitely is nice having the ability to customize and create specialized commands.

FYI if anyone questions about the accuracy and or repeatability of the TopsCNC heavy, I can tell you with cheap limit switches I am well under .05mm.

Guys, I just created the Esp32 topic. Keep me posted if I made any mistake. J'espere que cela va t'aider Idefixes!

This might be a stupid question but how did you know how tight to make the bolts which are the axis of the wheels and bolts holding the bottom and top of the y travel carriages?

I great if I over tighten, they well not till correctly and result in lost steps. Thanks for the tension to btw as well.
